Banksia grandis
These pieces are Sarah’s response to observations of the iconic Banksia grandis seedpods that have been opened by bushfire to germinate and disperse the seed, nature’s way to persevere. She wanted the surface of the piece to depict the intense heat and scarring nature of bushfires.
